Dutch Courage is the cocktailbar owned by Timo Janse on Amsterdam's Zeedijk 12. The bar is an ode to genever and old-Dutch liqueurs, and combines 150 different genevers with a wide variety of genever based cocktails. A first: in the bar you will also find the world's first ‘kopstootjes-automatiek’.
Our Menu
Our menu is designed to be explored and collected. It showcases a wide selection of our genevers and signature cocktails, introduces Dutch spirits, explains genever, and includes our bites. You can take a copy home for free and track flavours you have already discovered.
Our Workshops
Our workshops are perfect for curious guests, bartenders, dates, or team activities. They are available for groups of 1 to 20 people, seven days a week, and can be booked easily. Workshops can be enjoyed with or without alcohol and include optional add-ons.
Our People
All our team members are fully trained cocktail bartenders. This ensures knowledgeable service and clear answers at all times. We train regularly and specialise in Dutch spirits and cocktails. We also host free tastings, guest shifts, and masterclasses throughout the year.
Dutch Courage is open 7 days per week, from 5:00 pm to 1:00 am and on Friday and Saturday from 3:00pm until 3:00 am. We hope to welcome you soon!
